Job Title: Contracts Manager

Location: North West (UK-based projects)

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded construction business delivering high-quality projects across four key sectors: private residential, developer-led housing schemes, commercial properties, and specialist healthcare developments. Their portfolio ranges from bespoke luxury homes to large-scale multi-unit developments, underpinned by a strong reputation for precision, reliability, and craftsmanship. Working closely with private clients, developers, and commercial partners, the company is known for delivering projects to exceptional standards, with a collaborative and hands-on approach throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects across the North West. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion, maintaining quality, safety, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple construction projects across residential, commercial, and healthcare sectors
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Lead and support site teams, including Project Managers and Site Managers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and risk management strategies
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Support tendering, procurement, and contract negotiations
  • Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders on project performance

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry
  • Strong background in residential and/or commercial construction (healthcare experience advantageous)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of construction contracts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
