Pre-Construction Manager / Contracts Manager
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
£110k-£130k + Exec Benefits
We are currently seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager / Contracts Manager to join an established construction team working on a major project in High Wycombe.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is strong on programming and planning, with the ability to support the pre-construction and tender process, while also managing one or two live projects from a Contracts Manager perspective.
The Role
- Develop and manage detailed construction programmes and tender programmes
- Lead and support the pre-construction and tender process
- Review project requirements, construction methodologies and buildability
- Assist with procurement, subcontractor engagement and tender packages
- Work closely with the design, commercial and project teams throughout pre-construction
- Identify programme risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Transition projects from tender/pre-construction into delivery
- Manage one or two live projects as Contracts Manager
- Oversee project delivery, programme, quality and commercial performance
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Coordinate project teams and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently

- Previous experience as a Pre-Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar
- Essential: strong RC frame experience
- Strong programming and planning skills
- Experience producing tender programmes
- Good understanding of the pre-construction and tender process
- Experience managing live construction projects
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant construction qualification preferred
