Contracts Manager

North West | Residential, Commercial & Healthcare | Projects £2m to £15m

The Opportunity

An established and highly regarded North West construction contractor is looking for a driven and dynamic Manager to join their senior team. Founded over 15 years ago, the business has successfully delivered more than 150 projects across the region and has built a strong reputation with both private and public sector clients for on time, on budget delivery and exceptional attention to detail.

This is a genuinely varied workload. Live and upcoming schemes generally range from £2m to £15m in value and span new build homes, multi unit residential developments, apartment schemes, refurbishments and commercial and healthcare projects across the North West. There is a strong residential bias, but a mix of all three sectors is generally in progress at any one time.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations and Commercial Director, you will lead a team of Site Managers and Quantity Surveyors to manage, oversee, drive and successfully deliver three live projects at any one time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
