Interim Construction Lawyer | Data Centres & Digital Infrastructure
This is a unique opportunity to support major infrastructure projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, advising on the development and expansion of large-scale data centre capacity across multiple jurisdictions.
The Opportunity
Working alongside a specialist in-house construction team, you'll provide strategic legal support on complex infrastructure developments, helping to drive the acquisition, development, and delivery of critical digital infrastructure projects.
You'll partner closely with stakeholders across real estate, procurement, finance, and technical teams while playing a key role in shaping scalable legal processes to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of construction-related agreements, including EPC contracts, consultant appointments, framework agreements, and supply contracts
- Advise on land acquisition, site development, and data centre construction projects
- Support procurement strategy, risk allocation, and contract structuring for complex infrastructure developments
- Advise on leasing and colocation arrangements where required
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal guidance to project and delivery teams
- Coordinate with external counsel across multiple European jurisdictions
- Develop contract playbooks, templates, and scalable legal processes
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently while appropriately managing risk

About You
- Qualified lawyer, 5-9 PQE with strong non-contentious construction law experience
- Experience gained either in-house or in private practice supporting major infrastructure, construction, energy, or data centre projects
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-moving business environment
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working across international jurisdictions is highly desirable

Contract Details
- Full-time
- Immediate start
- 3-6 month engagement
- All engagement models considered (Inside IR35, Outside IR35, PAYE, Fixed-Term Contract)
