About the Role

You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag. Our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects - 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.

Responsibilities

As The Construction CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer), You Will

  • Review and brief CEM/NR on all interface with key stakeholder Network Rail (NR) for the delivery of the construction scope of works for SCS Euston and specifically for Structures & Earthworks delivery unit at East
  • Attend weekly meetings with NR to discuss submissions target approvals and any design review needed
  • Compile delivery team updates and brief CEM on upcoming works, and SCS overall programme. Provide 12 month lookahead overview on any rail related or possession based works in liaison with Senior possession planner
  • Assist in production and reviewing of the WPPs / ALO plan / TBS provided by the delivery teams. Assist in preparing responses to DRN comments for both Network Rail’s WPP and Design Reviews Form C/Form G/Form A/B
  • Review TWs designs submitted from the TW’s Team and sign off as CRE-C for Submission to Network Rail following consultation with CEM. Undertake technical reviews and provide comment in relation to protection of operational railway and from construction perspective ensuring compliance with current CDM regulations, as well as all applicable standards, requirements of H&S and environmental policies
  • Assist with production of Trackers for all WPPs, Forms, STQs relating to documentation required for CRE / CEM and Network Rail review

We Are Looking For

  • PTS - White Hat
  • CRE-C experience
  • ALO Responsible Manager experience
  • Agent level or above construction experience for Tier 1 contractor
  • Previous experience as CRE
  • Experience working in HS2 assurance processes
