Are you looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a growing construction function, working across major projects while having significant influence over how the business develops its delivery capability?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing infrastructure business operating within the UK's energy and decarbonisation sector. The company is expanding its project portfolio and is looking for an experienced Construction Director to take a senior position within the business and lead the successful delivery of its upcoming projects.
The role will initially focus on a major project in the Sheffield area, before taking responsibility for an expanding portfolio of projects across the UK. You will lead the construction function, manage external contractors and ensure projects are delivered effectively across programme, budget, quality and safety.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing infrastructure business, take ownership of its construction function and play a key role in shaping its future project delivery strategy.
The Role:
- Lead major infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Take responsibility for programme, budget, quality, risk and H&S.
- Lead and develop the construction team.
- Control variations, costs, programmes and contractor performance.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.
The Person:
- Senior construction/infrastructure delivery experience.
- Strong client-side or developer-side background.
- Strong commercial and contract management experience.
- Experience across pre-construction and live project delivery.
- Experience with JCT, NEC or similar contracts.
- Previous experience leading construction, project management or commercial teams.
- Infrastructure, energy, utilities, industrial or civil engineering experience advantageous.
