Job Description

The Construction Director will lead the delivery of the Group's complex development projects through defined milestones, from inception through to completion. You will assist the Chief Executive to manage the entire delivery function, internal and external teams, methodology and budgets.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Lead construction delivery across all projects, ensuring programme, quality and cost targets are met.
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier appointment, performance and compliance.
  • Drive build programme accuracy, proactively resolving delays and risks.
  • Maintain exceptional build quality through regular site inspections and warranty performance oversight.
  • Provide clear reporting on programme, costs, risks and operational performance to senior leadership.
  • Lead cost control, CVR meetings and commercial decision‑making to protect budgets and margins.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage commercial agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Build strong relationships across project teams, consultants and supply chain partners.
  • Resolve commercial disputes efficiently and maintain positive stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure construction delivery aligns with the group's design standards, brand values and sustainability objectives.
  • Champion operational excellence, safety, innovation and continuous improvement across all sites.

  • Proven track record delivering complex residential‑led mixed‑use developments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Leadership experience within residential development or housebuilding
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, programme control and commercial governance
