About The Opportunity
Amentum are recruiting a Construction Engineer to support pre-construction design development and construction planning. This will include carrying out constructability assessments, assessing construction methodologies and planning construction execution strategies.
You will work with cross-discipline teams and liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure designs are efficient, safe and buildable.

Hybrid work is available, but the role may require visits to Warrington, Theale and Aldermaston. The main locations will be Theale or Aldermaston.
Amentum is currently supporting multiple projects to deliver an enduring manufacturing capability for a key customer in the defence industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Construction Engineer to develop and deliver constructability assessments, develop construction execution strategies and manage CDM requirements during pre-construction.
- Review design deliverables and suppliers’ documentation to identify potential construction, conventional safety and constructability risks, recommending improvements.
- Undertake constructability assessments; ensuring designs are efficient, safe and buildable.
- Liaise with internal and external design teams to obtain and coordinate information to support construction planning activities.
- Interface with other stakeholders such as Human Factors, Fire Safety, Conventional Safety and Safety Case to support integrated design development.
Here's What You'll Need
- Degree with honours in engineering, construction management or a related subject (or equivalent)
- Experience in construction engineering or pre-construction on multidisciplinary projects.
- Understanding of constructability assessment, construction methodologies and construction execution planning.
- Understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) 2015 regulations.
- Strong technical review, communication, report-writing and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams, communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.
