Role Description
The Construction Estimator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Greater London. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for refurbishment and construction projects, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Performing quantity take-offs
- Analyzing labor, material, and subcontractor costs

The Construction Estimator collaborates with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to validate estimates, track cost variations, and support value engineering. The role also includes:
- Preparing clear estimate reports
- Maintaining cost databases
- Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Construction Estimating and Quantity Take-offs, with the ability to develop accurate and detailed project cost breakdowns.
- Proficiency in Cost Management and Budgeting to monitor project costs, support financial planning, and manage variations.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers, and to present estimates and cost reports clearly.
- Experience with construction drawings, specifications, and tender documentation, and familiarity with relevant building regulations and industry standards.
- Competence in using estimating software and MS Office (especially Excel) for calculations, data analysis, and reporting.
- Prior experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar quantity surveying/estimating role within refurbishment and construction projects.
- Relevant education in construction management, quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
