Estimator - Hemel Hempstead (Hertfordshire)

Up to £70,000 + car allowance | Main contractor | Industrial & logistics, data centres, life sciences

MUST HAVE UK CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE AS AN ESTIMATOR AT A MAIN CONTRACTOR.

We're recruiting an Estimator for a fast-growing, privately-owned main contractor headquartered in Hertfordshire. A business turning over c.£300m with a record order book north of £500m, 300+ people and more than 215 projects delivered for over 10 years.

As the Estimator, you’ll be joining a busy preconstruction team that are pricing live tenders across some of the most in-demand sectors in UK construction. You’ll have the experience from a Senior Estimator who will teach you the systems, processes and technique that separate good estimating from great estimating.

You'll price live tenders across a genuinely varied portfolio - a multi-phase data centre campus in London, industrial and logistics units from 100,000 to 285,000+ sq ft for blue-chip developers and occupiers, life sciences and pharma facilities on major UK innovation campuses, studios, retail, leisure and urban regeneration, and civils, infrastructure and refurbishment work.

What you'll be doing

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
