About the Role

Forming part of our Real Estate Department the Construction team is a nationally recognised practice providing a complete range of legal services on all aspects of Construction law.

We advise on construction risk management from procurement to completion (projects and dispute management across a broad range of sectors). Our team acts for private and public sector clients including developers, healthcare providers, education institutions, transport authorities, main contractors, sub-contractors and consultants. We act across a wide range of sectors with clients involved in commercial development, PRS, student accommodation, local government, transport, education, health, utilities, energy and investment. From a contentious (disputes) perspective the Construction team advises and acts on all forms of construction dispute resolution, including adjudication, arbitration, proceedings in the TCC, mediation and expert determination. From a non-contentious perspective, the Construction team drafts and negotiates all major standard forms of contract, including JCT and NEC4.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
