Contract: Project-based with ongoing work

Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics / Store Manager to join a large civil engineering project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of the site stores, ensuring materials, equipment and documentation are accurately controlled and maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the site stores.
  • Receive, check, record and distribute materials, tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory is properly controlled.
  • Manage store information and records using computer systems.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are stored safely and correctly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure records are kept up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with PUWER and COSHH requirements.
  • Liaise with site teams, suppliers and project management to ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify any shortages or requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe store environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Store Manager / Logistics Manager on a large civil engineering project.
  • PUWER certification and practical experience – essential.
  • COSHH certification and practical experience – essential.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous experience managing site stores and stock control systems.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a busy site environment.
