Role Description
The Construction Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Leeds. The Construction Manager will oversee day-to-day site operations, including coordinating trades, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Monitoring project progress
- Supervising site personnel and subcontractors
- Maintaining compliance with construction safety regulations and company policies
- Supporting project control activities such as tracking milestones, managing budgets, and reporting on project status to stakeholders
- Collaborating with clients, designers, and suppliers to resolve issues, maintain clear communication, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including leading site teams, managing subcontractors, and promoting a collaborative working environment.
- Proficiency in construction safety practices and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant site.
- Solid experience in construction operations, including planning, coordinating, and delivering projects to quality standards.
- Capability in budgeting and project control, including cost tracking, scheduling, and reporting on project performance.
- Relevant experience as a Construction Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of building regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Relevant vocational qualification or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
- Recognized health and safety certification (e.g., CSCS, SMSTS or equivalent) is beneficial.
