Construction Manager
Annual Salary: Up to £70,000
Location: Preston
Job Type: Contract (until end of March 2028)
Working Hours: 5 days per week
We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee a significant decarbonisation project at a local hospital in Preston. This contract position will run until the end of March 2028. The ideal candidate will be local to the area and possess extensive experience in CDM site management.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the daily operations on the construction site.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with legal and health and safety standards.
- Supervise staff and provide guidance and feedback to construction workers.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other professional staff.
- Ensure all deadlines, cost targets, and quality standards are met.
- Maintain records of construction activities and prepare reports on progress.
- Manage equipment and materials inventory.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in CDM site management.
- Black CSCS card holder.
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent.
- Temporary Works Supervisor qualification, or willingness to undertake a two-day course provided by the company.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
