Construction Manager | Puke Kapo Hau (PKH) Windfarm | Dunedin
Lead the delivery of one of New Zealand's largest renewable energy projects.
Higgins is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join the team delivering the Puke Kapo Hau (PKH) Windfarm Project in the Dunedin region. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role on a major infrastructure project that will contribute to New Zealand's renewable energy future.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all civil construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and within budget.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the delivery of major civil construction works across the project
- Managing site teams, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Driving a strong health, safety, environmental and quality culture
- Planning and coordinating construction programmes and resources
- Monitoring productivity, project milestones, and project performance
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications, consent conditions, and quality requirements

What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 15 years' experience within the civil construction industry
- Proven experience delivering large-scale earthworks and infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management experience
- Excellent commercial and financial management skills
- Experience in construction planning, programming, and project delivery
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to safety
