We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Construction Manager roles based in Manchester, Greater Manchester, England. Roles of this type may sit within dynamic, fast-paced site environments where independent delivery, coordination across trades and stakeholders, and hands-on site leadership are central to success. You could work on varied project scales, from groundworks through to completion, with scope to shape how a site operates and to mentor site teams toward safety, quality and schedule targets.

What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Taking ownership of day-to-day site operations, including planning, scheduling and resource coordination
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, including SMSTS requirements
- Coordinating trades and subcontractors to maintain programme delivery and quality standards
- Managing site reporting, documentation, quality assurance and regulatory compliance
- Leading site teams and supporting their development, safety awareness and performance
- Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and stakeholders to communicate progress and resolve issues
- Managing site budgets, waste and materials to support cost control and efficiency
- Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification or equivalent health and safety qualification
- Proven experience in construction site management, ideally across multiple project types
- Working knowledge of construction programming, resource planning and quality management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with site documentation, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work independently and lead site teams effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
Nice-to-have:
- First Aid or HV (high voltage) awareness
- QARA (Quality Assurance Representative Accreditation) or QMS (Quality Management System) experience
- Master's degree qualification
- Experience on large-scale or complex programmes
