Lead Construction Delivery on One of the UK's Largest Airport Infrastructure Programmes

We're recruiting on behalf of a global market leader for a Construction Manager to oversee the safe and successful delivery of major airport infrastructure projects across the UK & Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of construction operations, lead high-performing site teams, and play a pivotal role in delivering critical infrastructure within live operational environments.

The Opportunity
As Construction Manager, you'll provide operational leadership across multiple projects, ensuring construction and installation activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Working closely with project teams, clients, and contractors, you'll drive programme performance, champion best practice, and ensure projects are completed with minimal disruption to operational environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead construction and installation activities across multiple major airport infrastructure projects.
- Manage site operations, workforce planning, and resource deployment to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Coordinate complex construction interfaces and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
- Oversee construction readiness, ensuring designs, permits, logistics, materials, and labour are in place before works commence.
- Drive health, safety, and compliance, ensuring all activities align with CDM Regulations, Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Build strong relationships with clients, operational teams, contractors, and key project stakeholders.
- Chair construction coordination meetings and support programme reviews and performance reporting.
- Monitor contractor performance, resolve site issues, and drive continuous improvement across projects.
- Support project mobilisation, commissioning, and successful handover.
- Mentor and develop Site Management teams while promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture.

What You'll Bring
- Proven experience leading construction or installation teams on large, complex infrastructure, M&E, or engineering projects.
- Experience working within live operational or highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of the full construction lifecycle, from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
- In-depth knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and Principal Contractor responsibilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, programme delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and contractor performance.

Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- NVQ Level 6/7 in Construction Management (or equivalent)
- CSCS Black Management Card
- Higher Technical Qualification
- Project Management qualification (desirable)
