Construction Manager
Location: Dorset, UK
Job Type: Permanent
A rapidly growing UK energy infrastructure business is looking to appoint a Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major portfolio of energy projects.
The business is developing and delivering large-scale BESS, flexible generation and long-duration energy storage projects, with a significant pipeline moving through development and construction.
This is an owner-side construction role, providing leadership across EPC contractors, principal contractors and specialist suppliers from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading construction delivery across assigned energy infrastructure projects.
- Providing construction input across design, procurement, mobilisation and execution.
- Managing and challenging EPC and principal contractor performance.
- Reviewing construction programmes, methodologies, sequencing and resource requirements.
- Monitoring progress, risks, quality and HSE performance.
- Coordinating engineering, procurement, commercial and construction activities.
- Supporting site mobilisation, commissioning and final handover.
- Acting as a key interface between the project team, contractors and senior stakeholders.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Construction Manager with a background in major energy, infrastructure or EPC projects
You'll ideally have:
- Significant construction management experience on large-scale projects.
- Experience managing EPC / Tier 1 contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, programme and site delivery.
- Experience taking projects through construction into commissioning and handover.
- SMSTS and CSCS.
- Experience in BESS, power generation, renewables, utilities, substations, hydro or wider energy infrastructure would be highly relevant.
