Role Description
The Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Sevenoaks, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role includes managing site teams and subcontractors, coordinating schedules, monitoring progress, and resolving on-site issues. The Construction Manager will enforce construction safety procedures, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. They will manage project costs, track resources, and support project control processes, including reporting to senior management and communicating with clients and stakeholders about project status. The role also involves reviewing plans and specifications, identifying risks, and implementing practical solutions to keep projects moving efficiently.

- Strong Supervisory Skills to lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate day-to-day operations.
- Budgeting and Project Control Skills to manage costs, track progress, and support scheduling and reporting activities.
- Construction and Construction Safety Skills to interpret drawings, oversee building work, and ensure safe, compliant site practices.
- Relevant experience as a Construction Manager, Site Manager, or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with clients, consultants, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, regulations, and health and safety standards in the UK.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation, with good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Professional certification or qualification in Construction Management.
- Proficiency with basic project management and office software.
