About Us
Group Metropolitan was founded in 1985 as an electrical contractor carrying out small moves and changes projects for a select few clients. Over the past 35 years, we have grown into a turnkey Principal Contractor offering in-house tradespeople, with a projected turnover of £80M. This has been achieved by working collaboratively with our clients to understand their needs and become an extension of their business,’ expanding our service offerings and geography to meet the expectations required. Whilst the business has seen organic growth over the years, our core values of Safety, Quality, Integrity and People, remain the same.

Requirements
- Proven experience delivering commercial office fit-out projects valued at £6m+.
- Experience managing multiple subcontract trades simultaneously.
- Experience working to detailed construction programmes and achieving key milestones.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
- Experience working within live or occupied buildings.
- Experience reviewing and implementing RAMS and permit systems.
- Experience managing quality inspections, snagging and practical completion.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within banking, financial services or other security-sensitive environments.
- Experience delivering CAT A and CAT B office fit-outs.
- Knowledge of MEP coordination and commissioning processes.
- Experience working alongside client representatives and building management teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day site operations under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, to programme and to the required quality.
- Plan and manage daily and weekly work activities.
- Monitor progress and identify any programme risks.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Carry out site inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure site records, diaries and progress reports are maintained.
