Construction Manager

📍 Oxford, Oxfordshire
💷 £300–£350 per day | Freelance / Contract
Long-term project | Approx. 2 years remaining | ASAP start

💷 £300–£350/day + around two years of work remaining on a major Oxford healthcare scheme.

If you’re a technically strong Construction Manager who can interrogate drawings, spot buildability problems and drive subcontractors on site, this is a long-term contract worth looking at. 🏗️

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Construction Manager to join the delivery team on a complex, highly serviced clinical development in Oxford.
This isn’t a purely supervisory role. You’ll be expected to understand how the building goes together, challenge drawings, resolve construction interfaces and take ownership of your areas before problems hit programme.
You’ll work closely with M&E / Building Services, Design, Project Management, Site Management and subcontractor teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day construction delivery across allocated areas.
  • Review drawings for buildability, clashes and installation issues.
  • Coordinate construction, M&E and design interfaces.
  • Manage subcontractors against drawings, specifications and programme.
  • Oversee penetrations, openings, fire stopping and associated details.
  • Look ahead, identify risks and resolve issues before they affect delivery.
  • Manage Site Managers, Supervisors and site labour.
  • Monitor quality, progress and site standards.
  • Lead and contribute to subcontractor and coordination meetings.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
