MEPF Construction Manager – Hyperscale Data Centres

πŸ“ Location: UK | Full-time, site-based
πŸ’· Salary: Β£100,000–£115,000 DOE
πŸ—οΈ Up to Β£115k. Major hyperscale data centre developments. A senior, owner-side construction role supporting infrastructure behind one of the world's largest cloud computing platforms.

This is an opportunity for an experienced MEPF Construction Manager to take a central role in the delivery of major mission-critical developments, overseeing Tier 1 contractors and driving coordination across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.

Coming from a major MEP contractor, Tier 1 Main Contractor or data centre delivery environment? This could be your move into a high-impact construction oversight position.

About the Role

You'll be the central coordination point across MEPF construction activities on major UK hyperscale data centre developments.

Working alongside General Contractors, specialist MEPF subcontractors, design consultants and equipment vendors, you'll ensure complex building services installations progress safely, efficiently and to programme.

Your focus is contractor performance, construction sequencing, technical coordination, procurement and commissioning readiness.

This is a hands-on construction leadership role for someone who understands how complex MEP systems come together and knows how to keep major projects moving.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee MEPF construction activities across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection installations.
  • Challenge Tier 1 contractors on progress, resources, quality, sequencing and programme recovery.
  • Coordinate interfaces between MEPF, structural, civil and architectural construction packages.
  • Review construction drawings, technical submissions, design changes and installation methodologies.
  • Monitor procurement, long-lead equipment deliveries and critical installation milestones.
  • Identify technical risks, resolve construction constraints and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Drive installation completion and readiness for Levels 1–3 commissioning, supporting subsequent Level 4/5 testing and handover.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
