Contract Construction Planner - Major Energy Infrastructure Project
Location: Scotland
Duration: Until late 2026
We're supporting a major energy infrastructure programme in Scotland and are looking for an experienced Construction Planner to join the project on a long-term contract.
This is a site-focused planning role where you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining construction programmes, monitoring progress, identifying programme risks, and working closely with project delivery teams to ensure key milestones are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning software.
- Produce baseline programmes, progress updates and look-ahead schedules.
- Monitor progress against programme and report on key milestones.
- Carry out critical path analysis and identify programme risks and recovery strategies.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, site teams and subcontractors to ensure programme accuracy.
- Provide regular planning updates, reports and forecasts to project stakeholders.
- Support programme changes and maintain accurate planning records throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a Construction Planner, Project Planner or Planning Engineer on major construction, infrastructure or energy projects.
- Electrical knowledge or previous experience working on electrical infrastructure, substations, transmission or distribution projects is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent planning software.
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and project controls.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across project teams.
- Available to commit to a contract running through to late 2026.
