Construction Programme Manager

Location

National (Flexible base location anywhere in Great Britain, with national travel as required)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Programme Manager to lead the successful delivery of major property and construction projects across our UK operational estate. As a key member within our Construction team, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of capital investment and large-scale property programmes. From project inception and feasibility through to construction, handover, and long-term asset performance, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

As part of our commitment to building greater in-house expertise and delivering increased value, this role will play a key part in developing internal capability, identifying opportunities for insourcing, and improving project delivery across our property portfolio.

This is a hands-on position that requires a high level of autonomy, with frequent travel to operational sites across the UK. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction, engineering and property investment projects from concept through to completion.
  • Take overall responsibility for project performance, including health and safety, cost, programme, quality, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Develop and implement regional construction and asset investment strategies that maximise value and support business objectives.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, finance teams, procurement specialists, commercial managers, and operational leaders to prioritise investment and manage project delivery.
  • Drive value-for-money initiatives by evaluating project costs, identifying efficiencies, and exploring opportunities to enhance in-house delivery capability.
  • Lead and develop multi-disciplinary project teams, creating a high-performance culture focused on delivering successful outcomes.
  • Implement robust programme and project governance frameworks, ensuring effective monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Produce regular project performance reports covering financial performance, programme progress, safety metrics, and key risks.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant construction legislation, regulations, and industry best practice, including CDM requirements and health and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other external partners to drive quality, innovation, and commercial performance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for designated construction programmes and provide specialist support across wider property initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
