Project Coordinator

Nottingham - £30,000

An established Nottingham construction consultancy is hiring a Project Coordinator to join its team. A busy studio with a varied portfolio, and a coordination role that sits at the heart of how live building projects and their finances move through the practice.

You'll be the person keeping the wheels turning on live construction projects: finances, paperwork, statutory approvals, site logistics, and daily support to the leadership team.

A solid role for someone with a coordination or admin background who wants to be embedded in project delivery.

The Project Coordinator role, day to day:

  • Keeping project finances moving: purchase orders, invoicing, tracking budgets against forecasts, and managing supplier and client billing.
  • Running the paperwork on live construction projects: RFIs, Early Warning registers, and chasing up outstanding actions to keep schemes on track.
  • Handling statutory approval submissions and liaising with local authorities and other external stakeholders.
  • Looking after document control: drawing registers, project management platforms, keeping everything in the right place at the right time.
  • Coordinating site visit logistics for internal staff and subcontractors, from prep to follow-up.
  • Providing daily admin support to the Director, Design Manager and Office Manager: diary management, meeting coordination, keeping the operational wheels turning.
  • The usual mix of office admin too: travel bookings, timesheets, office supplies, and formatting the odd document.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
