Job Title: Project Manager

About the Role

CNX Recruitment is partnering with a leading fit out and refurbishment contractor, who operate UK wide, to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a major project based in Northampton, starting in November 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Project Manager to join a respected contractor delivering work within secure, highly regulated environments. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site activities and manage site teams and subcontractors
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with programme schedules and project specifications
  • Enforce health, safety, and quality standards on site at all times
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and key stakeholders
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress meetings
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction projects
  • Experience working within Ministry of Justice (MoJ) frameworks is highly desirable and will be prioritised. Please note this is not a prison build.
  • Strong understanding of site operations, health & safety regulations, and compliance standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate effectively within secure and controlled environments
  • Willing to travel due to future framework requirements

Compliance Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS clearance is essential (must be current or obtained prior to commencement)
  • Familiarity with security procedures and compliance requirements associated with MoJ projects
