At B&M, our continued growth depends on opening great stores quickly, efficiently and to the highest standards. As a Project Manager within our Property team, you will play a vital role in delivering new store openings, relocations, refits and refresh programmes, helping turn approved property opportunities into successful trading stores across the UK.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role operating within a fast-paced retail environment. Working closely with Acquisitions, Estates, Operations and external partners, you'll take ownership of multiple projects from feasibility through to store opening, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget and aligned with B&M's commercial and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of store development projects, including new stores, relocations, refurbishments and estate improvement initiatives.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts and timelines, ensuring effective cost control and delivery against rollout commitments.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants and suppliers throughout design, procurement and construction phases, driving quality and accountability.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Property, Operations, Merchandising and Design, ensuring projects meet operational and commercial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM requirements, Health & Safety legislation and company standards, while overseeing commissioning, snagging and handover processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
