An established high-end residential contractor is looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead a major country house refurbishment in Surrey.
The project is valued at approximately £12m and comprises the comprehensive refurbishment of an existing country residence together with significant new leisure facilities, including swimming pool and spa areas. The scheme has a sensible programme and represents an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a substantial, high-quality residential project from an early stage.
This will be one of the contractor’s first major country house projects, so they are looking for a capable, proactive Project Manager who can take control of the job, establish the right systems and momentum, and get on with delivering it.

The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the scheme, coordinating the site and design teams, managing the programme, overseeing subcontractors, and maintaining a strong relationship with the client and professional team.
The role would suit someone who has previously delivered high-quality residential refurbishment projects, ideally within the prime or super-prime sector. Country house experience would be advantageous, although the key requirement is a strong track record of taking ownership of complex residential projects and driving them through to completion.

You should be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and be someone who naturally takes responsibility rather than waiting for direction. Experience coordinating high-specification finishes, complex M&E, and leisure facilities would be particularly relevant.
Due to the location and nature of the project, you will need to be able to travel to the Surrey site on a daily basis.
This is a long-term opportunity with a growing high-end residential contractor that is expanding beyond its traditional London market and sees country house projects as an important part of its future workload.
Salary to £90,000 plus package, depending on experience.
