4+ PQE | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary + Bonus

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Construction Associate or Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join a highly regarded Construction team advising on a broad range of high-quality built environment and real estate development projects.

Working alongside market-leading Real Estate, Banking, Planning and Corporate teams, you'll advise developers, investors, funders, occupiers, contractors and public sector clients on complex and high-value transactions across commercial, residential, mixed-use, logistics, regeneration and infrastructure developments.

You'll be involved in:

  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction documentation.
  • Advising on procurement strategies and project delivery structures.
  • Negotiating building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees and ancillary project documents.
  • Supporting development, acquisition, disposal and financing transactions from a construction perspective.
  • Providing commercially focused advice on risk allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams on major development projects.
  • Developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

You'll have:

  • 4+ years' PQE in non-contentious construction law.
  • Experience advising on built environment and real estate development matters.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Experience acting for developers, investors, funders, contractors, occupiers or public sector clients.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard construction contracts such as JCT, NEC and ideally FIDIC.
  • Experience negotiating construction contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, third-party rights, guarantees and related project documentation.
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to deliver pragmatic legal advice.
