What You Would Do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Managing day-to-day site operations, safety compliance and team coordination
  • Liaising between site teams, contractors, engineers and project managers to maintain progress
  • Monitoring project schedules, budgets and resource allocation
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, including Site Management of Health and Safety in Construction (SMSTS) standards
  • Maintaining site records, permits and compliance documentation
  • Troubleshooting delays and issues to keep projects on track
  • Supporting quality assurance and site inspections

What You Could Bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • 3–5 years' experience in site or construction management
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and site compliance
  • SMSTS certification (or willingness to obtain it)
  • First Aid certification
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate teams effectively
  • Competence in reading plans, specifications and construction drawings
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
