You'll bring:

• Experience managing construction activities within civil, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• A strong understanding of health and safety legislation, CDM 2015 and safe systems of work, particularly within treatment works environments.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, supervise, coach and develop site teams.
• Strong programme, planning and commercial awareness, with experience monitoring progress and managing resources.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to quality, sustainability and environmental responsibility.
• Good IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience using MS Project and/or Primavera P6 planning software.
• A valid UK driving licence.

You'll also need:

• Valid SMSTS (5-day course).
• CSCS Card.
• Confined Space training to at least medium-risk level.
• First Aid at Work training.
• Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor certificate.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

It would be beneficial if you also have:

• Previous experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
• An understanding of NEC forms of contract.
• Experience using contract management systems such as CEMAR.
• A sound understanding of planned preventative maintenance.
• An HNC/HND in Construction, Civil Engineering or Project Management.
• NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safely or an equivalent qualification.
• Membership of a relevant professional body, such as CIWEM or CIEEM.

You may also undertake relevant Binnies training, where appropriate to the role, including Approved Person (AP) and Approved Person Isolation (API) training for our Electrical Safety Rules and Isolation Safety Rules, and Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) training.
