Site Manager | Multi Million Pound Construction Project

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: Competitive, DOE discussed at interview stage

Contract: Full-time Project-based

Reports to: Project Manager / Contracts Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full day-to-day control of a high-value multi million pound construction project. You will be the on-site leader responsible for delivering the works safely, on programme, to quality, and within budget.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on complex, multi-trade sites and can drive performance from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all on-site activities, subcontractors, direct labour, suppliers, and plant
  • Own the construction programme — plan, sequence, and drive progress to hit key milestones
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, CDM, site-specific RAMS, inductions, and toolbox talks
  • Maintain high standards of quality; identify defects early and drive rectification
  • Control costs on site: monitor labour, materials, and subcontract expenditure against budget
  • Manage site logistics, deliveries, storage, and welfare
  • Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries, progress reports, and as-built information
  • Liaise professionally with the client, design team, local authorities, and internal stakeholders
  • Chair/attend progress meetings and provide clear, timely reporting to the Project Manager
  • Promote a strong safety and quality culture across the entire site team
  • Resolve issues proactively to keep the project moving

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
