Are you a hands-on Site Manager with a strong track record of delivering exceptional residential developments?
At Shanly Homes, we don’t just build houses; we create distinctive, high-specification homes designed for modern living.
As a privately owned, multi-award-winning regional housebuilder, we take pride in delivering thoughtfully designed developments in some of the South East’s most sought-after locations.
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of the delivery of De Havilland Place, an exclusive development in White Waltham, Berkshire.
About De Havilland Place
Designed in-house by our architectural team, De Havilland Place combines distinctive architecture, thoughtfully designed layouts and premium specifications throughout.
The development comprises 79 two, three and four-bedroom homes, delivered across three phases. Phase 1, comprising 29 homes, is currently under construction, with Phases 2 and 3 following as the development progresses.
This is a genuine opportunity to take full ownership of a high-quality, low-volume development, overseeing delivery from the early stages of construction through to completion, handover and final close-out.
The role
As Site Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running and successful delivery of the development, ensuring programme, quality, health and safety and customer expectations are consistently met.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
