What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Managing daily site operations and coordinating site teams across trades and subcontractors
- Planning and scheduling work activities to meet project milestones and deadlines
- Monitoring budget, costs and resource allocation to maintain project profitability
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, site inductions and risk assessments
- Liaising with clients, consultants, engineers and other stakeholders on site progress and issues
- Inspecting work quality, materials and workmanship against contract specifications
- Maintaining accurate site records, progress reports and documentation
- Managing site logistics, storage, welfare facilities and housekeeping standards

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
Must-have
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or equivalent construction management role
- Strong knowledge of health and safety best practice and construction site compliance
- Familiarity with project planning, budgeting and cost control
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- QARA or QMS certification
- First Aid qualification
- Experience with construction management software or digital tools
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
