Premier Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Manager to lead the delivery of a retail project in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious team and take a key role in delivering a varied and challenging project.

The Role

  • Location: Portsmouth
  • Contract: Fixed-term, up to 7 months, with the potential to extend
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Working Pattern: Full-time, site-based (7am - 5pm)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and site activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements across the site.
  • Monitor programme progress and maintain high standards of quality throughout the project.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
  • Act as the primary on-site point of contact for the client and design team.
  • Identify and resolve site-based issues promptly and effectively.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager with:

  • 5+ years' experience working in a Site Manager role.
  • SMSTS, First Aid at Work, Asbestos Awareness essential, Temporary Works Supervisor desirable.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • An energetic, enthusiastic and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to thrive within a proactive and forward-thinking team.
