WANTED - A Reliable & Experienced Construction Site Manager

A reliable & experienced Construction Site Manager who has at least 5 years experience managing the delivery of High Specification Construction Projects within the Commercial Office sector. This is a permanent job.

Why is There a Vacancy

Due to an increase in the volume of Construction & Fit Out Projects across a number of clients they need additional experienced resource.

The Projects

  • The projects are a range of interior fit out & construction projects.
  • The scope of works includes general construction packages, structural works and minor Civils.
  • Project values range from £1 million up to £20 million.
  • They are typically located in Oxfordshire, Berks, Bucks, Surrey, Hampshire, Greater London.

What Does the Company Do

  • They are a Regional Principal Contractor.
  • They have direct relationships with each client.
  • They subcontract out packages of works to specialist subcontractors.
  • Their Clients span Motorsport /F1 Teams, Private Medical, Pharma, Professional Services and the NHS.

  • They are a long established, privately-owned SME that is extremely well run, profitable and financially stable.
  • They employ around 25 people.
  • They are based out of offices, that they also own, near Woodley Berkshire.

What Would My Responsibilities Be

  • Reporting to the Operations Director you will be responsible for managing the construction site each day & managing a project program.
  • You will also be required to manage teams of specialist contractors on each site, ensuring the work is delivered safely, to the required standards on budget.
  • You will also be working closely with client representatives.

Experience Required

  • It is essential that the candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills as they will be dealing directly with clients & their representatives.
  • The successful candidate will have site-based Construction Management experience having worked as a Site Manager or Construction Manager.
  • It is essential that the candidate has delivered Construction Projects in the Commercial Office or Light Industrial sectors.
  • UK Experience is also a must.
