You will report to the Head of Delivery, while working closely with the company founders. There are no unnecessary management layers, allowing decisions to be made quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing programme, sequencing, labour, plant, and materials
  • Producing weekly look-ahead programmes and driving progress
  • Managing directly employed operatives and subcontractors
  • Maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Monitoring quality throughout the project
  • Keeping accurate site records and progress reports
  • Identifying variations, delays, and cost risks early
  • Leading client meetings, handover, and project close-out

What We Are Looking For

  • Site Manager experience, or an experienced Assistant Site Manager ready to progress
  • Experience delivering projects valued between £250,000 and £5 million
  • Strong new-build or refurbishment knowledge, with an understanding of groundworks and civils
  • Ability to read drawings, understand technical details, and identify issues early
  • Confidence managing operatives and subcontractors
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work
  • Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
  • MCIOB status, public-sector experience, and Temporary Works Coordinator training would be beneficial but are not essential. We will fund SMSTS training and professional development for the right candidate.
