Role Description

The Construction Site Manager is a full-time, on-site role located across the UK and EU, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves coordinating site operations, supervising subcontractors and site personnel, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with all relevant regulations. The Construction Site Manager will plan and schedule works, manage resources, monitor progress, and proactively address issues to minimize disruptions and risks. The role includes maintaining accurate site documentation, reporting on project status to senior management, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will liaise closely with design teams, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure clear communication and alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong site management skills, and ideally SMSTS, NVQ level 6-7 Construction Site Management, with proven experience managing complex projects.
  • Candidates should have financial control awareness, to manage project expenditures and support commercial objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, health and safety standards, and quality assurance processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with clear and professional communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and standard MS Office tools, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience delivering projects in retail, hospitality, or leisure sectors is an advantage; professional certifications (e.g., safety management) are beneficial.
  • The ability to monitor and manage project construction programs, ensuring that the project is delivered on track.
