HSE Recruitment are working on one of the biggest construction projects in the South West in recent years.

As such we are seeking a competent Construction Site Safety Manager to lead health, safety and environmental performance across the major construction and infrastructure programme, ensuring people, contractors and the environment are protected at all times.

The role will be based in Bridgewater and requires someone who lives in the area or who is going to relocate.

You'll drive a safe working culture and manage risk assessment activity, approve RAMS, oversee contractor safety, carry out site inspections and investigate incidents and near misses. You'll ensure full compliance with CDM and wider HSE and environmental regulations, while providing assurance against ISO standards and internal frameworks. As a visible leader on site, you'll influence behaviours, promote a strong safety culture and report performance and insights to senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
