Construction Site Supervisor – Air Quality Monitoring Stations Construction

£400 per day (outside IR35) + average 40hr week + skilled, collaborative team environment + October start

A global compliance & certification organisation is looking to engage with a contract Construction Site Supervisor to supervise the construction of currently 2x air quality monitoring stations.

Current Contract Duration

Approx. 2 weeks on a site in Norfolk & 2 weeks on a site in Devon, starting in October on the Norfolk site.

This is ad-hoc contract work & would suit an individual who is working with numerous clients and has room for other project work in 2026/2027.

Construction Site Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections to monitor the progress, quality and safety of projects & multi-disciplined contract workers onsite
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and workmanship comply with the approved specifications and drawings
  • Identify any defects or non-conformances and work with the contractors to ensure timely corrective actions are taken
  • Maintain detailed records of site inspections, test results, and any issues or deviations from the approved plans
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on the status of projects
  • Review and approve contractor invoices and change orders related to scope of work

Construction Site Supervisor Profile

  • HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical or Construction Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or similar
  • Good working knowledge of CDM regs & relevant building codes and industry standards
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certificate & CSCS card
  • Experience working on 'live' construction sites, including any work for the Environment Agency, Air Quality Monitoring stations, Civils, Waste-to-Energy, Hospital builds, Airports etc
  • Good understanding of overall operations on a construction site with a focus on safety, compliance, project progress & ensuring multi-disciplined contractors are always
  • Happy to travel across the UK & overnight for different project durations
