LC Legal is delighted to be partnering with a leading international law firm who are looking to recruit both Associates & Senior Associates specialising in Construction (non-contentious) into its growing team, with opportunities available in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The role
Joining a collaborative and ambitious construction team, you will advise on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters across both domestic and cross-border projects. You will support significant transactions spanning the real estate, infrastructure, transport and energy sectors, while building your own client relationships and managing matters with increasing autonomy.
You will have an outstanding opportunity to join a globally recognised practice with an established reputation for delivering complex construction advice on major real estate, infrastructure, transport and energy projects.

This role also provides an excellent platform for an ambitious solicitor looking to broaden their technical expertise, gain exposure to major international projects and work alongside experienced specialists within a highly regarded practice. Importantly, construction work in Scotland is a core part of the firm's Scottish practice and market presence and is a strategically important part of what they do.
Key responsibilities include
- Advising on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters relating to development, investment and infrastructure projects
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of construction documentation, including building contracts, consultant appointments and collateral warranties
- Supporting complex UK and international transactions alongside colleagues from real estate, banking, corporate and other specialist teams
- Managing your own matters while contributing to larger multi-disciplinary projects
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Contributing to business development initiatives, market engagement and the continued growth of the practice

About you
- Scottish or English qualified Solicitor with approximately 2-5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law
- Experience advising on construction contracts, consultant appointments and associated project documentation
- Previous exposure to the real estate, infrastructure or energy sectors would be advantageous, although not essential
- Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills with a commercial and pragmatic approach
- Motivated to develop your career within a collaborative, high-performing international team
