Construction Solicitor, 4+ PQE, Hertfordshire

Salary

GBP 65,000 - GBP 85,000 DOE

About the Role

Join a highly regarded Construction team advising a diverse client base across the public and private sectors. Offering high-quality contentious and non-contentious work, genuine career progression, and flexible working, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Solicitor looking for greater responsibility and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Advise developers, property owners, contractors, consultants, and insurers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
  • Handle disputes involving litigation, adjudication, arbitration, mediation, expert determination, and insurance-related claims.
  • Advise on JCT, NEC, and FIDIC contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and interpreting standard and bespoke agreements.
  • Manage your own caseload, taking responsibility for strategy, deadlines, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Work on complex matters involving the Technology and Construction Court and expert technical evidence.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the continued development and strategic direction of the Construction team.

Requirements

  • Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with 4+ years PQE and strong experience in contentious and/or non-contentious construction law.
  • You will possess excellent technical, analytical, and drafting skills, strong commercial awareness, and a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.
