About The Role
A Construction Solicitor position is available in Hertfordshire, offering a salary between £65,000 and £85,000 depending on experience. This full-time, hybrid-remote role suits a solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE. You will join a well-regarded Construction team serving both public and private sector clients. The workload covers contentious and non-contentious matters, including disputes via litigation, adjudication, arbitration, and mediation. You will also handle JCT, NEC, and FIDIC contracts, providing drafting and negotiation advice to developers, contractors, and insurers. - Advise developers, property owners, contractors, consultants, and insurers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
- Handle disputes involving litigation, adjudication, arbitration, mediation, expert determination, and insurance-related claims.
- Advise on JCT, NEC, and FIDIC contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and interpreting standard and bespoke agreements.
- Manage your own caseload, taking responsibility for strategy, deadlines, budgets, and client relationships.
- Work on complex matters involving the Technology & Construction Court and expert technical evidence.
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the continued development and strategic direction of the Construction team.
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with 4+ years' PQE and strong experience in contentious and/or non-contentious construction law. You will possess excellent technical, analytical, and drafting skills, strong commercial awareness, and a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.
