About the Role

Help deliver the UK's energy future, sustainably.

Join us at the heart of The Great Grid Upgrade, one of the UK's largest and most ambitious infrastructure programmes.

As a Construction Sustainability Advisor supporting Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2), you'll help shape how major energy infrastructure is delivered, driving sustainable construction practices, reducing environmental impact and ensuring positive outcomes for communities, nature and future generations.

This is a chance to influence decisions that matter. From embedding low-carbon solutions and enhancing biodiversity to supporting responsible delivery across complex construction sites, you'll play an important role in helping us build a cleaner, more resilient energy network.

We're open to applications from across the UK and offer hybrid working. You'll have the opportunity to travel across England and Scotland to project sites, stakeholder meetings and team locations, giving you direct involvement in one of the UK's most significant energy projects.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Sustainability Managers and project teams to develop and deliver sustainability strategies that support successful project outcomes.
  • Champion sustainability across projects, bringing our ambitions to life for teams, contractors, and stakeholders at every stage of delivery.
  • Drive the adoption of sustainability best practice, standards, and frameworks across all aspects of project delivery.
  • Work closely with contractors to achieve, and where possible exceed, ambitious sustainability targets.
  • Act as a trusted source of sustainability expertise, providing advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on sustainability performance, providing insights that influence key project decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of new sustainable approaches.
  • Promote a strong SHESQ culture and support the delivery of safe, sustainable construction practices across project sites.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
