Course Description
The Construction Tech course at Pankow introduces students to the construction industry. This is one of the most hands-on courses at Pankow. Roughly 70% of a student’s time in the course is spent in the shop directly working on projects. Students spend roughly 30 minutes a day covering content in class and the other 70 minutes in the shop applying their skills. Projects include corn hole boards, a mock house, dog houses, deer blinds and more. Students are given the opportunity to earn the Michigan Residential Builders License Pre-Licensure Course certificate, the Home Builder’s Association of Michigan certificate, the OSHA 10-hour safety certificate, and The National Brotherhood of Carpenters and Millwrights apprenticeship articulation credentials. Additional micro credentials are offered throughout the course and students will create a digital portfolio to showcase their work in the course. For project pictures and more information, see our Facebook page and YouTube channel by searching for “Pankow Construction” on each platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
