Consultant role - scope of services.

Stage 1 Explore:

  • Review funds/strategies (UK/Europe/Global - direct/indirect/debt/hybrid)

  • Review capabilities and potential for new funds/strategies that can be developed with a focus on UK direct.

  • Look at trading/valuation/structuring/servicing processes

  • Confirm current distribution and global/UK consultant models

  • Build output to confirm how the business is currently set-up for UK DC

  • Conclusion on above (OUTPUT)

  • Review DC client universe and advise on target master trusts/ consultant and potential opportunities in each case. (OUTPUT)

Stage 2 Test

  • Build a deck for testing UK appetite
  • Use survey results (NG) (OUTPUT)
  • Alongside LaSalle, meet with CIO’s and consultants (master trusts, consultants, other actors) focusing on key targets, to confirm addressable market, given product/strategy set (with a focus on UK Direct). Determine attractiveness of various strategies/approaches based on feedback from targets. Requirements such as SDR. Preferred structures. (OUTPUT)
  • Frank assessment of LaSalle capabilities and resource requirements with recommendations (OUTPUT)
  • Build deck for socialising internally (Go, No Go). Covering strategy(ies), opportunity/scale, delivery method, fees/profitability

Stage 3 Execute – exact scope to be agreed following completion of Stage 2.

  • Agree products/strategies to present externally.

  • Agree strategy for approaching the market (OUTPUT)

  • Work on thought leadership plans and launch

  • Build marketing, back-office, and distribution models

  • Recruit DC role(s) and mentor

  • Conclusion on above (OUTPUT)

  • Set up meetings/open doors to present to target clients.
