Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

The Trust is seeking a consultant psychiatrist to join the Women’s secure service and the SCFT. The vacancy has arisen as the result of service development, and the Trust regards this as an opportune moment to develop the functioning of the team.

This post will comprise of 5 sessions on Damson ward, in the women’s Service and 5 sessions with the SCFT.

Responsibilities

  • Join the consultant on call rota
  • Deliver a quality clinical service
  • Be actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services
  • Provide clinical leadership to the SCFT
  • Have responsibility to provide / input into the care, treatment and risk management for patients under the care coordination of the SCFT
  • Fulfill the Responsible Clinician role for those who are discharged from secure care for follow up by their hub
  • Provide direct patient contact at various locations
  • Be involved in the assessment and transition of patients leaving secure care

Job Details

  • Caseload: 20-30 outpatients and 20-30 inpatients
  • Locations: St Bernards, service user’s placement, local clinical site within the hub area, remote consultations, hospital wards
