Working as part of a fantastic team
Supported by the 18 Week Clinical and Nurse Leads in your specialty and overseen by our Clinical Lead.
Excellent daily rate
Predominantly weekend and weekday sessions available (full days) - 8am-6pm
Location: North West and West Midlands
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative assessment and formulate appropriate anaesthetic plans.
- Deliver safe general, regional and/or local anaesthesia within your level of competence.
- Manage the airway and respond appropriately to anaesthetic and surgical emergencies.
- Provide intra-operative monitoring, analgesia, fluid management and physiological support.
- Ensure safe transfer and effective handover of patients to Recovery/PACU.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, ODPs, theatre practitioners, recovery staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in emergency and/or on-call theatre services where required.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, quality improvement, teaching and continuing professional development.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with Trust policies, GMC standards and patient-safety requirements.

Essential:
- GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Current experience working within a surgical setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
- Proven NHS experience.
- Appropriate anaesthetic training and clinical experience.
- Experience working within operating theatres.
- Demonstrable competence in airway management and peri-operative care.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
- Commitment to patient safety, professional development and high-quality clinical care.
