EY-Parthenon is seeking a motivated Consultant to join its Analytics & AI practice, supporting clients to unlock value from data through analytics, reporting, AI, and data-driven insights.
This role is ideal for an individual with a strong commercial and technical mindset who enjoys solving business problems using data and is looking to develop both consulting and technical expertise. Consultants work across a variety of strategic, pre-deal, and post-deal engagements, helping clients make informed business decisions by transforming complex data into actionable insights.
Working alongside experienced consultants, managers, and senior leaders, you will design and deliver high-quality analytics solutions, develop meaningful business insights, and communicate findings confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Support the delivery of analytics and data-led engagements across a range of industries and business challenges throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data collection, solution design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and user training.
- Collect, clean, structure, and analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources to support client objectives.
- Develop reports, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical models that help clients understand business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement analytical solutions, including data pipelines, visualizations, and proof-of-concepts, to address complex business challenges.
- Work directly with clients and EY specialist teams to develop high-quality deliverables, including dashboards, reports, presentations, and other analytical outputs.
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to translate business challenges into data-driven insights and practical recommendations.
- Collaborate with engagement teams to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines.
- Proactively escalate issues to engagement leadership where appropriate.
Analytics & AI Solutions
- Support the development of analytics and AI solutions using appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Support design and build data models, analytical solutions, and visualization dashboards to generate insights from large and diverse datasets with minimal supervision.
- Work with structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and key findings.
- Build scalable, reliable, and fit-for-purpose data models, datasets, and reporting solutions.
- Conduct data quality assessments and validation activities to ensure analytical outputs are accurate and reliable.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives and proof-of-concepts exploring emerging analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities.
- Support the implementation of advanced analytical and AI-driven solutions where appropriate.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Explain complex technical concepts and analytical approaches in clear, practical terms to help clients understand how business challenges are being addressed.
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and working sessions.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and wider EY teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding deliverables, timelines, and project outcomes.
- Continuously seek feedback and identify opportunities to improve deliverable quality and client service.
Team & Personal Development
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and parts of workstreams, delivering high-quality outputs with appropriate supervision and guidance.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different grades and service lines.
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
- Take ownership of personal development and continuously build technical and consulting skills.
- Stay informed on developments in analytics, AI, data management, and emerging technologies.
Skills & Experience
Core Experience
- Typically 3–5 years' experience in data analytics, data engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Experience applying data and analytics to solve business problems in financial, operational, or commercial environments.
- Experience gained within consulting, professional services, finance, FP&A, transaction services, or analytics-focused teams is highly desirable.
Analytical & Consulting Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to structure ambiguous business problems and develop data-driven recommendations.
- Ability to draw clear business insights from complex datasets.
- Experience working with large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills
- We value individuals who can learn quickly and apply the right approach to solve business challenges.
- Experience in the following areas is desirable:
- SQL and Python or R.
- Building and maintaining data pipelines and analytical workflows.
- Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
- Cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in some of the following areas would also be beneficial:
- Generative AI and machine learning concepts and applications.
- Structured and unstructured data management.
- Statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
- AI-enabled analytics and automation solutions.

Qualifications
- Degree in a numerate discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or equivalent practical experience.
Ideally, You'll Also Have
- Experience developing client-facing dashboards and business reporting solutions from granular datasets.
- Understanding of financial, operational, and commercial performance metrics.
- Exposure to transaction services, due diligence analytics, or performance improvement engagements.
- Interest in emerging AI technologies and their application in solving business challenges.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
