Job Opportunity in Cervical Screening Laboratory

This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the 8 English cervical screening laboratories, delivering a clinical cervical cytology service to the East Midlands region. We are a friendly team, with a strong ethos of staff support and development.

We are seeking two full-time Consultant BMS to join our team, undertaking independent reporting of cervical screening samples, participating in MDTs, and supporting in maintaining and developing our service, including training commitment.

Available Roles

  • HPV Lead in Cervical Cytology
  • Quality Lead

Working Hours

Ideally for the full-time roles, 7.5 hours Monday to Friday are required, but this can be flexible. Hours to be discussed at interview.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Work at consultant level in cervical cytopathology, independently reporting cervical screening samples.
  • Participate in MDTs across the laboratory footprint, primarily by Teams.
  • Support in maintaining and developing our IT systems.
  • Training of Departmental staff and rotational resident doctors.
